The draws for the opening rounds of the FA Cup in association with Budweiser, the FA Carlsberg Trophy and the FA Youth Cup were revealed by the Football Association today.
In the FA Cup, the Stones have been drawn at home to Shoreham or Colliers Wood United. Both sides currently ply their trade at step 5 of the pyramid, with Shoreham in the Sussex County League and Colliers Wood in the Combined Counties League.
This match will take place at Chatham Town as the pitch at the Gallagher Stadium is not permitted for use in the FA Cup. It is also highly likely that this game will be played on Friday 24 August or Sunday 26 August as Chatham have also been drawn at home.
The winner of this tie will then face an away day at Chipstead, Chichetser City or Crowborough Athletic in the First Qualifying Round.
In the FA Carlsberg Trophy, we have been handed a tough draw away to Needham Market. Based near Ipswich, The Marketmen reached the Ryman League Division One North play-off final last year but were beaten by Enfield Town.
This match will take place on September 15 and the winners will go on to face Margate at Hartsdown Park.
Meanwhile in the FA Youth Cup, Maidstone have been drawn at home to Redhill. This tie will take place at the Gallagher Stadium. The winners will then go on to face either Fisher or Ebbsfleet United away.
