Maidstone United’s first league match at the Gallagher Stadium was the sixth most watched game in non-league football yesterday.
The crowd of 1,569 was only bettered by four matches in the Blue Square Premier (matches at Cambridge United, Grimsby, Kidderminster Harriers and Newport County) and one match in Northern League Division One (match at Bishop Auckland).
The Stones are at home in the FA Cup with Budweiser on Saturday (25 August) against Colliers Wood United. Kick off at the Gallagher Stadium is at 15:00.
