A terrific second half performance saw Maidstone United Reserves overcome last season’s champions Herne Bay.
A first half goal from Steve Okah ensured the Stones went into the break level pegging, and a second half deluge saw the home side blow the Bay apart, with the goals coming from Charlie Smith (2), Brett Ince (pen) and Jason Hollick.
The Ressies are back in action next Saturday as they travel to Bayliss Avenue to face Thamesmead Town in the Kent Intermediate Cup First Round.
