Maidstone United bowed out of the FA Youth Cup after losing 3-2 to VCD Athletic at the Gallagher Stadium.
The game will be remembered for Vickers’ second goal which went in after the referee blew his whistle. The controversial strike was sandwiched by Stones goals from Alfie Pavey and Charley Robertson, however it was to be the away side who grabbed the vital fifth and final goal with 90 minutes played.
