More than 100 people attended the club’s Christmas Carol Service today.
Organised in partnership with St Augustine Academy and St Michael’s Primary School, the event at All Saints Church was packed with traditional carols and readings, and it also marked the centenary of the Christmas truce during the First World War.
Club chaplain and Archdeacon of Maidstone, Stephen Taylor, led the service alongside Reverends Kes Grant and Phil Sheldrake.
Stones chief executive Bill Williams, manager Jay Saunders and club captain Steve Watt attended with their families, as did Maidstone & The Weald MP Helen Grant.
Bill said: “It was an excellent service and a thank you from me to all those who came along and made it a special occasion. Thanks also to all those who took part on the day and to the group who’ve been working behind the scenes for many weeks to make it all happen.”
