Former Cambridge United player Bobby-Joe Taylor is Jay Saunders’ latest summer signing.
The 20-year-old – who can play on either wing, as well as left back or up front – made eight appearances for the League Two side last season. He also gained National League experience during a loan spell with Vanarama South side Bishops Stortford.
A week before his loan at Stortford, he was on the bench for The U’s visit to Old Trafford in the FA Cup fourth round replay in February.
Taylor started out with Chelsea before a move to Gillingham at the age of 14. A couple of years later he left Priestfield and was snapped up by Cambridge with the offer of a scholarship, followed by a pro-deal. The season before last he also spent time on loan with Evo-Stik Premier League side St Neots.
