Yeovil Town

Home to Yeovil in FA Cup first round

Maidstone United will play Yeovil Town in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup.

It’s the second season running that the Stones have made it to this stage of the competition and been paired against League Two opposition. Jay Saunders side were one of 32 non-league sides who have battled through qualifying to go into tonight’s draw with the 48 clubs from Sky Bet League One and Two.

Yeovil, managed by Paul Sturrock, are 23rd in Sky Bet League Two. Their two wins and three draws have seen them pick up just nine points of the 45 that were available.

The Stones have won their last five games against Yeovil, scoring 17 and conceding four. The last meeting of the two clubs was in the FA Cup in November 1989 when Maidstone won 2-1, Warren Barton with the winning goal.

More information about the match arrangements will be announced soon.

Ties to be played on the weekend of 7 and 8 November 2015.
