Deal for Davies to join the Stones

Stones boss Jay Saunders has completed the signing of Callum Davies from Gillingham.

The defender has been a long-term target and several weeks of talks came to fruition this afternoon with the signing of an 18-month deal.

Davies’ move to the Gallagher ends a fifteen-year association with the Gills. After going through all the age groups with the club, he made it into the first team and picked up a league title medal in 2013.

The 22-year-old could be in the sixteen-man squad for the trip to Hartsdown Park on Boxing Day.
