Stones Academy

Last chance to apply for academy trials

Maidstone United academy trials are just a week away and school-leavers have until Friday afternoon to register their interest.

Jay Saunders, Jamie Coyle, Tom Parkinson and Jim Bodle will put applicants through their paces next Monday from 10:00 at the Gallagher Stadium.

Players who impress will be invited to join the two-year course this September, where they will study for a BTEC Sport Level 3, train daily with UEFA-licence coaches and have the chance to play in one of the club’s teams in the Football Conference Youth Alliance.

Classes and matches take place at the home of Maidstone United – ideal for those who want a change from school life after 11 years.

Applicants should ideally be on target to achieve five A* to C grades, including English and maths. With the exception of a BTEC book and training kit, the course has no other fees.
