Plans for the new stand will be unveiled next week.
Terry Casey and Bill Williams will present artist impressions and plans of the new stand at the north end of the Gallagher Stadium next Thursday (30 June) at a presentation evening in the Spitfire Lounge. Doors will open at 19:00 and the presentation starts at 19:30.
The new stand, which will be similar in height to the Conway main stand, will accommodate about 1,750 standing spectators. The planning application contains a range of features to go with the new stand: flexible seating, facilities for disabled spectators, toilets, food outlets, new entrances and exits etc, although not all of these will be built immediately for financial reasons.
Once completed, the stadium’s capacity will rise to 4,200 – more than meeting the National League’s requirement.
During the evening there will be also be an opportunity to find out about Stand up for the Stones – a new fundraising campaign where fans can show their support for the club’s new stand project by making a donation towards the cost.
- Anyone making a pledge can leave a personal message on the website.
- Donations of more than £20 will enable donors to appear in a special photo mosaic.
- Donations of £50 or more will allow donors to also appear on an Honours Board to be erected in a prominent position in the club.
