Jack Evans has become Jay Saunders’ latest summer signing.
The 23-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, began his football career as a youth with Gillingham, making it through to the first team under Andy Hessenthaler and Nicky Southall.
After loan spells with Lewes, Welling United, Corby Town and Dartford, he signed for Tamworth and played a season in the Conference – making 37 appearances.
A move back down south saw him link up with Sutton United at the start of the 2014/15 campaign and from there he joined Eastbourne Borough in January 2015. During his time with the Sussex club he made more than 45 appearances and featured in the two games against Maidstone last season.
