More than £4,000 has already been donated towards the cost of a new stand at the Gallagher Stadium.
A new fundraising campaign – Stand up for the Stones – launched on Thursday evening and pledges have been coming in from supporters living near and far.
Club chief executive Bill Williams said: “Our supporters are wonderfully generous and I thank everyone who has donated so far. It makes a real difference to the owners, at a time when they’ve got to find near on a million pounds, to know there’s such backing out there.”
A one-off donation can be made via the website – www.maidstoneunited.co.uk/standupforthestones – or at the club office on weekdays between 09:30 and 16:00.
There is also the opportunity to make a contribution on a monthly basis via PayPal or a standing order with your bank or building society.
Anyone who donates £5 or more will receive a special campaign pin badge. Supporters pledging £20 will have the opportunity to be part of a photo montage and contributions of £50 will be recognised on an honours board.
