Stones supporters have donated £6,000 to the Stand up for the Stones fundraiser.
The pledges will go towards the building of a new 1,768 capacity standing terrace at the north end of the Gallagher Stadium. This work is vital to achieving an overall capacity of 4,000 – the figure required for all clubs in the Vanarama National League.
Club chief executive Bill Williams said: “It’s great to keep reaching these milestones and my thanks to all those who’ve put in so far. Many have said they want to show their appreciation for everything that has been achieved since 2012 and we are really grateful for that backing.”
Businesses or individuals can make a one-off donation via the website – www.maidstoneunited.co.uk/standupforthestones – or at the club office on weekdays between 09:30 and 16:00.
There is also the opportunity to make a contribution on a monthly basis via PayPal or a standing order with your bank or building society.
Anyone who donates £5 or more will receive a special campaign pin badge. Supporters pledging £20 will have the opportunity to be part of a photo montage and contributions of £50 will be recognised on an honours board.
