Ahead of tomorrow’s game against Guiseley, Jay Saunders has bolstered his squad with two loan signings.
Midfielder Reece Prestedge has joined the Stones until the end of the season from parent club Bromley. The 31-year-old has been with the south London side for the past three seasons. Before joining The Ravens he was captain of Bishop Stortford and is remembered by fans there for scoring against Northampton Town in an FA Cup first round game shown live on ITV.
Delano Sam-Yorke will be with the club until early March. The striker, who turns 28 in a fortnight’s time, began his career at current club Woking. He has Football League experience with Cambridge United and in recent seasons has spent time at Lincoln City, Forest Green Rovers and Boreham Wood.
Jay said: “I am delighted to get Reece and Delano in and thank their respective clubs for agreeing the loans.
“Reece is someone we’ve known for many years and will add experience and leadership to the midfield. He’s one of those who grabs games by the scruff of the neck and will be a good vocal presence on the pitch for us.
“We’ve seen Delano in action and had good reports on him. He’s got experience of this league and the one above, and is hungry to make the most of his time here. At 27, he’s a good age and at 6’1 will add to our forward line for the next couple of months.”
Both players have had their loans approved by the FA and National League and will be part of the squad travelling to Guiseley.
In other team news, Jack Richards is joining Sevenoaks Town on loan. Micky Collins’ side are sixth in the Southern Counties East League, five points off first and with games in hand.
