Maidstone United are serving up a tasty fundraiser next month.
To help add to the Stand up for the Stones fund, the club are hosting Sunday lunch on 5 February. The two-course meal (homemade soup to start, followed by a choice of roast chicken or roast beef) is priced at £12.50 per person.
Lunch will be served from 12:30 and that will be followed by an exclusive tour of the new north end stand with club co-owner Oliver Ash and architect Steve Harrison. After the tour, there is an opportunity to watch one of the club’s youth teams in action.
This is a pre-booked event only, with reservations available either over the phone (01622 753817) or in person at the club office. Places are limited to 60 people, so book as soon as you can.
Two of the 60 places have already been snapped up by club chief executive Bill Williams. “As soon as I told Mrs Williams that was our Sunday sorted. The meal alone is a great price but add to that the chance to look around the new stand and I am sure it’ll be a popular event for Stones fans.”
If you cannot make the lunch but would like to support the latest stage of the stadium’s development, head to the Stand up for the Stones website.
