Jay Saunders has added experience to the Stones defence with the signing of Magnus Okuonghae this evening.
The 31-year-old Nigerian, who was on the books of Dagenham & Redbridge until recently, will be with the club until the end of this season.
In a footballing career spanning more than 15 years, Okuonghae, who at the Gallagher for Saturday’s 4-2 win, is best-known for his time with Colchester United. He spent six years with The U’s, making more than 200 appearances and becoming club captain for the 2014/15 campaign.
Prior to joining the Essex club, he was at Rushden & Diamonds, Aldershot Town and Crawley Town, before his first stint with the Daggers. After his Colchester career came to an end, he had spells at Luton and Hartlepool – before returning to Victoria Road last November.
