After securing the league title earlier this month, Maidstone United Ladies play the first of two cup finals this weekend.
The Stones will have home comforts for the game against Kent Football United, with the Gallagher Stadium hosting the Kent Reliance Women’s Plate final.
The campaign began back in October with an extra time win over Swale Ladies (4-2). Round two was a closely fought affair with a 4-3 victory away at Dartford.
At the quarter final stage, the Stones were drawn against Margate. After racing into a 3-0 lead inside 10 minutes, the Stones had to contend with a Margate fight back which saw the final scoreline of 6-5.
In the semi-final, Stones beat Thanet Colts 5-3, with goals from Jess Flisher (2), Emma Chivers, Natalie Stacey and Gemma Sullivan.
