Ahead of the opening of the new stand tonight, the stadium’s smoking policy has changed.
While cigarettes and e-cigarettes have never been allowed inside the ground, there has been designated smoking area within the car park up until 15 minutes before the match.
This area is now the location for two new turnstiles and will no longer be available to smokers.
All cigarettes will need to be extinguished prior to entering the stadium and there will be no exit and readmission at half time.
Club chief executive Bill Williams said: “For the vast majority of supporters, this change will have no impact whatsoever.
“As part of the stadium expansion, we were required to build another two turnstiles. These are located where the smoking area used to be and it’s not right to mix the two.
“In practice it will mean a couple of hours between cigarettes, which I hope people will understand.”
