Maidstone United under 18s ended their league campaign with a 4-3 win over champions-elect Merstham.
The Stones were pegged back on three occasions before Max Borland scored the fourth and winning goal fifteen minutes before time. Maidstone opened the scoring through Tyler Dockwray and Sid Warden added a second before the break.
The Moatsiders fought back with two goals in two minutes at the start of the second half. Lucas Murrain restored the lead on 53 minutes, only for the home side to pull it back to 3-3.
Tim Warden’s side are currently level on points with Merstham but the Surrey side have a game in hand and a superior goal difference. The Stones could end up in third place if Tonbridge Angels win or draw their game in hand.
With the league done and dusted, attention turns to the Kent Invitational Cup on Tuesday night away at Bromley. Success in that match would see the side through to the final at Corinthian Sports Club on Thursday 4 May.
