Kevin Lokko and Bobby-Joe Taylor have received England C call ups.
The pair will be in Paul Fairclough’s squad for a landmark friendly game against the Panjab FA on Sunday 28 May at Solihull Moors FC. Jack Paxman was also in line for a call up but was unavailable for the fixtures.
The visiting side, which is managed by former Tranmere Rovers and Oldham Athletic player Reuben Hazell, is made up of players from Indian and Pakistani descent, all of whom play at a similar level to England C squad and even finished as runners-up at the 2016 CONIFA World Cup.
Stones boss Jay Saunders said: “I am delighted for Kev and Bob – it’s an honour for any player to represent their country. They’ve both had good seasons and it’s great that Paul is giving them this opportunity. It’s unfortunate that Pax was unavailable on those dates as he’s been on the England C radar for some time now.”
Lokko and Taylor will travel to the Channel Islands on Tuesday 30 May for an FA Representative XI fixture against the Jersey FA.
