Margate have agreed a deal with the club to sign Tom Mills.
It was announced last month that after seven years and almost 350 appearances the popular defender would be leaving the Stones due to work commitments.
After attracting interest from clubs in National South and Isthmian Premier, Mills has opted to join several familiar faces at Hartsdown Park next season.
Jay Saunders said: “We all knew this moment was coming but it still seems slightly surreal to be talking about Millsy leaving the club. I was gutted he wasn’t able to take up the deal with ourselves but I am pleased for all parties that we were able to get this deal done.
“He’s been a massive part of everything we’ve achieved in recent years and those 340 appearances will take some beating. I know everyone will join me in thanking him for all he did for the club and wishing him every success for the future.”
