Jay Saunders has signed Tom Wraight from East Thurrock United.
The left winger has been on the club’s radar for a couple of years and following the departure of Alex Flisher and Bobby-Joe Taylor, the Stones boss agreed a deal for the 22-year-old to move to the Gallagher.
Wraight has been prolific during his time with the Rocks. Last season – the club’s first in National League South – he chipped in with 21 goals and 12 assistants, and the season before he clocked up 22 goals and 14 assists during the Ryman Premier promotion campaign.
His performances saw him win players’ player for the last two seasons, manager’s player for 2016/17 and supporters’ player for 2015/16.
The highly-rated youngster, who’s trialled at Gillingham and Millwall in the past 12 months, came through the youth set-up at Tilbury FC before joining Witham Town from where he signed for East Thurrock.
