There will be some familiar faces at the Gallagher this afternoon (20 August) to raise funds for Limbcare.
The charity was formed in June 2010 by Ray Edwards MBE (the UK’s longest surviving quad amputee), Alex Hyde-Smith, Roy Wright and Barry Perrin. It aims to create empathy, not sympathy, to all amputees and the limb impaired. With the public’s continued help, Limbcare can make someone’s life brighter again after becoming an amputee.
Today’s game, which kicks off at 15:00, sees a team of ex-pros take on a side of ex-semi-pros.
Come on down and see the likes of Adam Birchall, Damian Matthew, Simon Osborn, Steve Ward and Shaun Welford in action.
Admission is by donation on the gate. There will also be a raffle and half time penalty shoot out competition.
