Dean Beckwith and Ross Lafayette have joined the Stones on loan from Sutton United.
Jay Saunders struck a deal with U’s boss Paul Doswell to bring the pair to the Gallagher Stadium.
Beckwith is the experienced centre half that Saunders was keen to get on board. He began his career with Gillingham before going on to make more than 130 appearances for Hereford, winning promotion to the Football League in 2006.
The 34-year-old also played for Northampton and Luton before joining Eastleigh in January 2013, moving to Sutton in summer 2015.
Lafayette adds firepower to the Stones frontline following the departures of Joe Pigott and Zavon Hines last month.
He signed for the U’s in the summer after scoring 12 goals for Dover last season. He previously had a prolific two-year spell at Welling, scoring 19 goals as they won the Conference South championship in 2013 and almost matching that total in the National League the following season.
From there he secured a move in to the Football League with Luton. He also played for Eastleigh before joining Dover at the start of the 2016/17 campaign.
Subject to FA and league approval, the pair are set to make their debut away to Bromley on Saturday afternoon in the Vanarama National League.
