Roseacre Junior School are on the road to Wembley after winning a tournament at the Gallagher Stadium today.
National League clubs are holding local heats for boys and girls in Year Six, with the Maidstone winners going on to a regional stage at Sutton United on Wednesday 28 March.
The winners from the regional heats will play at Wembley Stadium in May, as part of the Vanarama Big Day Out.
The competition has been organised by The National League Trust, which supports community programmes at clubs who are members of the three divisions of the National League.
Maidstone tournament co-ordinator Mike Cogger said: “Congratulations to the boys from Roseacre who did very well against a strong Wateringbury side.
“We had 19 primary schools taking part and the day was a great success. All schools showed great skills and sporting attitude; the schools and parents can be very proud of their youngsters.
“My thanks to all the schools involved, to the Maidstone United Academy boys for refereeing and running the event and to our main wponsor CSIS, Safer Kent and Wellbeing People for their water sponsorship.”
The girls tournament will be held at the Gallagher next Friday (2 March).
