The preparations for tomorrow’s match have gone well, we’re ready to go.
We went through everything we needed to yesterday and worked a lot on us as well, trying to be more of an attacking threat than we’ve been in recent games.
It was also a chance to get the lads mentally prepared for what’s going to be a big couple of weeks, starting tomorrow.
I didn’t dwell on Tuesday night’s performance at training. I said my bits after the game and they all knew we needed more than what we got.
Where we’re at we need to keep everyone’s spirits up, so that everyone’s giving it the best they’ve got and that includes the ones that didn’t start and maybe haven’t been in the squad.
They’re going to get their chances now, as we’ve got to look at different options.
I am preparing to make changes for the game. In the final third, from midfield forward, we haven’t got the goals we’ve needed and so it’s an area we’ve got to look at and do something different.
We want to take the game to Fylde because they’re a very good side and if we try to shut up shop, it will be a long afternoon because, with the likes of Dan Rowe, they are one of the better sides in the league and are in good form.
Hopefully we’ll have a big crowd tomorrow, with everyone behind us. I think that’s going to be massive for us.
I know, obviously, there’s been a bit of doubt and supporters are disappointed with Tuesday night and where we are in the league but I think for these last three league games, everyone needs to pull in the same direction, get behind the lads regardless of what their feelings are and support those that are wearing the shirt.
You can be the twelfth man for us.
If you can get behind us from the start and if we’re not having the best spells in the game to keep geeing us on, it does give the lads that extra bit of energy.
