Football Focus from the Gallagher

BBC One’s Football Focus is coming live from the Spitfire Lounge next Saturday.

Dan Walker and guests will have all the build up as the Gallagher prepares for its biggest competitive match – the Emirates FA Cup second round fixture against Oldham Athletic.

The Spitfire Lounge will become a temporary studio for the show which is aired from midday to 1pm, and Stones fans have a chance to be part of the audience.

There’s room for 100 supporters with places allocated on a first come, first served basis. Admission will be with a pre-bought match ticket. Doors will open at 11:30.

The famous FA Cup trophy will make a return to the Gallagher, so there will be selfie opportunities before the show starts.

Turnstiles will open at the usual time of 12:30 and for those early arrivals there will be a chance to see Dan and his guests presenting part of the show from outside the changing rooms.

General manager Simon Daniel said:

“Next Saturday’s going to be a great occasion for the club and to have the Football Focus show live from the Spitfire Lounge adds to it even more.

“Whether you’re watching from inside the lounge, at home or down the pub, it will be excellent to see our club showcased on national television once again.”

This week Dion Dublin interviewed Chris Smalling about his memories of playing for Maidstone United, which will be featured in the programme.
