Reduced admission prices for Trophy replay

Maidstone United will host Salford City on Tuesday (12 February) in the Buildbase FA Trophy third round replay.

The Stones have the opportunity to extend their mini unbeaten run to three matches and the winners of this replay will be away to Stockport County in the quarter finals.

The original tie between Maidstone and Salford ended in a 1-1 draw last Tuesday. In a game which saw the Stones give debuts to keeper Dion-Curtis Henry and defenders Aron Davies and Shaun Donnellan, Michael Phillips gave the Stones the lead on 22 minutes. But it wasn’t long until the Ammies equalised with a tap-in from a Denis Politic’s cross.

Since that match, the Stones drew 1-1 with AFC Fylde on Saturday whilst Salford missed the opportunity to take advantage of Fylde dropping points. The Ammies suffered a shock defeat and only their seventh of the season in the league, as they went down 1-0 away at basement side Braintree Town. The results mean that Braintree are now just a point behind the Stones.

Aside from Saturday’s defeat, Salford are enjoying an excellent first season in the National League. They are currently in fifth place in the table and only four points behind leaders Leyton Orient.

In previous seasons, the Ammies have only progressed beyond the round that they have entered at in three of their last 10 seasons but this time around, they have enjoyed success in the FA Trophy as well as in the league. Salford reached this stage of the competition after seeing off two National League clubs. They beat Gateshead 3-1 in the first round and then in early January, they defeared Dagenham and Redbridge 2-0 thanks to goals from Devante Rodney and Mani Diereruvwe.

Maidstone have had to overcome two National League South teams to get to this point in the competition. The Stones needed a replay to get past Woking in the first round and then in the second round, Maidstone beat Oxford City 1-0 thanks to a goal from Jack Richards.

Admission prices for this pay on the day game are:
