Congratulations to our under 13s and 14s who’ve won Kent Youth Cup finals today.
The under 13s beat Bromley 3-2 after extra time. The Stones took the lead through Liam Parle and a Leo Dodds penalty but the Ravens were back on level terms early in the second half. With the game tied at full time, the final went to extra time and Ladi Durowoju got the winner to seal the silverware.
Also at the Shepherd Neame Stadium in Faversham today, the under 14s ran out 2-1 winners against Thamesmead Town. James Lowman gave the Stones a half time lead and Dylan Alden doubled the advantage in the second half. Mead pulled a goal back but it wasn’t enough to deny Maidstone a cup double on the day.
The two sides will be invited to a home game in the near future to parade their trophies at half time.
