Jake Robinson has left Maidstone United after agreeing a deal with former club Billericay Town.
The 32-year-old returns to the AGP Arena for an undisclosed fee, three months to the day after he quit the National South play-off contenders.
Robinson’s brief spell at the Gallagher began under Harry Wheeler and it is the former Stones boss who has enticed him back for their third spell working together.
Club chief executive Bill Williams said: “Jake was top of Harry’s shopping list when he was here and it was no surprise to me that he came in for him having returned to Billericay.
“Unfortunately, because he was cup-tied in the FA Trophy, he didn’t get the run of games he and us would have liked.
“When the offer came in, it was clearly one that appealed to him and was acceptable to us, so we thank him for his efforts and wish him well – especially with the arrival of his first child in the not too distant future.”
