Maidstone - United in Football

Kent: A Cradle of World Sport

Discover Kent’s uniquely important role in the development of sport at Maidstone Museum next Thursday.

Hosted by John Bunyard, curator of the exhibition Maidstone: United in Football, this talk will lift the lid on some fascinating facts and moments.

Exhibition sponsor Gordon Wallis will also tell the forgotten story of the world-class sporting events that used to take place in east Kent.

The event, which starts at 6.30pm on 28 November, is for over-18s and includes a drink in the ticket price.

There is also an opportunity for attendees to visit the exhibition.

Maidstone Museum is on St Faiths Street, sandwiched between Fremlin Walk and Brenchley Gardens.

The exhibition, Maidstone: United in Football, runs until Saturday 18 January. View it Tuesday to Saturday between 10am and 5pm.

A book to accompany the exhibition is available from the Stones club shop.
