Friday’s Street Soccer Sleep Out raised £4,000.
Some hardy souls braved overnight temperatures of just 2°C to raise awareness of homelessness within the Maidstone borough and further afield.
Organised by the Street Soccer Foundation and Stones Community Trust, the funds raised will help the two charities to reach out to more people that are at risk of homelessness and exclusion, particularly those aged under 25.
After a cold, hard, noisy, uncomfortable night easier to feel empathy with the thousands of homeless people in UK. £4000 raised to support the good work of @StreetSoccerCIC @StonesTrust 👍💛🖤 pic.twitter.com/irmb4FTqgy

The Mayor of Maidstone Cllr Marion Ring and Stones captain George Elokobi were at the ground yesterday evening to meet those taking part and to wish them good luck.
