Stones under-23 player Mason Burstow has had a trial with Chelsea.
The 16-year-old striker, who joined the club last summer, was put through his paces at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground earlier today. He chipped in with a goal and an assist during a trial game.
Joint manager of the U23s Kane Rice said: “We’re so proud of Mason and he thoroughly deserves this opportunity.
“He’s a young man with bundles of potential and it’s been great to watch his progress this season.”
The table-topping under-23s are at home this Saturday to Corinthian in the Suburban League Cup. Kick off 15:00, gates open 13:30.
