Maidstone United are kick-starting next season with the release of a limited number of ground season tickets.
Available to buy online or over the phone from 10am on Wednesday (12 August), the tickets will cover admission to league games at the Gallagher Stadium during the 2020/21 season, which is due to get underway in October.
Due to limited office staff, supporters are encouraged to buy their season ticket online.
For those who cannot, please call the office on 01622 753817 between 10am and midday, Monday to Thursday.
Although this initial release is for the ground, supporters who purchase now will have the option to upgrade to a seat when the revised social distancing capacity is known.
For existing main stand season ticket holders, the club are introducing ‘Set in Stone’, which guarantees a first option on their current seat as and when full capacity resumes.
Club chief exec Bill Williams said: “This is without doubt the toughest season the club have faced since the early 1990s.
“With less than two months until kick off, the new season is fraught with uncertainty.
“We’re releasing a first batch of season tickets, based on our worst case scenario of what the capacity could be.
“My hope, and that of Terry and Oliver, is that will be scaled up and we can come back to you with more opportunities to buy.
“I can’t, in all honestly, guarantee every main stand season ticket holder their seat for next season. With social distancing, it’s nigh on impossible to run that stand as we have in recent years. That said, we will guarantee all holders first dibs on their existing seat when distancing rules are relaxed.”
Ground season tickets for 2020/21 are priced at:
Concessions (65+/students with valid ID): £205
Youth (11 to 16 year olds): £120
Junior (Under 11): £45
(prices include £5 handling, postage and packing).
There are allocations on each price banding, which is based on last season’s ground season tickets sales.
Bill said: “Your support has never been more vital. Like clubs up and down the country, survival off the pitch this season will be just as important as the results on it.
“The owners have been brilliant and committed funds to enable us to get through the summer and be in a position to start the season. Can I ask you all to back them with the wonderful support you always show.
“For those asking about pricing and early bird deals, let me be candid. Everything we’re doing today is to ensure there’s a club for tomorrow.
“Will the early bird deals and special offers return? I hope so but in the meantime it’s all hands to the pump to get us through what we hope is a short term bump in the road.”
If the 2020/21 season does not start, season tickets will be refunded.
