Maidstone United Youth: players wanted

Maidstone United Youth (Boys) are looking for players to join established squads ahead of the 2020/21 season.

The following teams are recruiting:

  • Under 7s
  • Under 13s (Kent Youth League)
  • Under 16s (Kent Youth League)
  • Under 16s (Rangers)

Players will be coached by FA qualified and DBS certified coaches at the Gallagher Stadium, playing matches in the Maidstone Invicta Primary League, Express Cabs Primary League or Kent Youth League – depending on age.

From Pebbles and mini soccer to the academy and under 23s, there are opportunities for children to progress through the junior and youth levels and into the men’s game.

Youth football is a major part of Maidstone United and it was players from a club youth team that made up the first team squad when the club reformed in the early 1990s.

During those wilderness years away the county town, it was our youth sides, playing on local park and school pitches, that kept the flag flying for Maidstone United in Maidstone.

Over the years, several players have gone on to have successful professional or semi-professional careers. We are immensely proud that Manchester United and England defender Chris Smalling played for our youth, reserves and first team before moving into the professional game with Fulham.

Stones youth also brought us Alex Flisher and Tom Mills – two of the most popular players to have ever donned our black and amber strip.
