Club chief executive Bill Williams has paid tribute to a number of season ticket holders who’ve donated all or part of their ticket refund to the club.
With 14 home games unplayed, the club wrote to season ticket holders this week with details of how to make their claim but have been overwhelmed by the support that has been offered.
Bill said: “Over the years I’ve got to know our supporters really well and in that time they’ve stepped up to the plate on numerous occasions.
“In word and deed, it’s been quite overwhelming to see that outpouring of support this week. Our last grant payment from Camelot was the week before Christmas and these donations will go some way to helping us meet the significant expenditure we’ve incurred since then.
“Thank you to all our season ticket holders for backing us from the get-go last summer and continuing that throughout this turbulent season – it’s meant a lot.”
2020/21 season ticket holders are asked to check their inbox for an email from the firstname.lastname@example.org account, which outlines the refund or donation process.
Any season ticket holder who has not received that email are asked to call the club office on 01622 753817 between 10am and midday on Monday and Tuesday, or send a message to the office@ email address.
The club will contact anyone who has not replied by 28 February to talk through the options.
