from today's game at Hastings
FULL TIME: Stones pick up the three points but it was
not a convincing win for the Stones, who looked disorganised
at times not helped by injuries to Tydeman and Miller.
But it's three points and an excellent start to our
Ryman League campaign!
90mins: Olorunda goal disallowed after Czanner is bundled
over the line with the ball in his hands.
88mins:Rose tries a volley from 30 yards but sends
it well wide of Czanners post.
82mins: A corner and a free-keck for Hastings causes
a few flutters in the Maidstone defence but Czanner
goes down under a challenge and receives treatment for
a couple of minutes.
79mins: Hegley forces a corner on the left, Austin's
delivery just taken away from the head of Takaloo.
74mins: Strouts in with a late challenge gets his second
yellow card and is sent off.
69mins: Lacy long throw flicked on by Takaloo, Barton
volleys but shot charged down by the keeper.
68 mins: Hastings corner, Czanner stoops to save at
the near post. Everyone stands still presuming ball
had gone out, but ball falls for the sub Ellis who curls
it just over the bar.
66 mins: Ellis on for Mountford (Hastings)
65mins: Takaloo forces a corner on the right, Austin
sends to the far post but Bartons header saved.
60mins: GOAL ROWLAND! Disastorous
back pass leaves keeper staranded rebound falls for
Rowland who calmly rounds the keeper and slots home
60 mins: Olorunda booked for a late challenge on Strouts.
55mins: Rice booked after clipping the heels of the
winger.
52mins: Hastings force two quick corners Stones safely
deal with the danger.
46mins: Goal disallowed after a neat run and cross
from Nick Hegley. His cross is bundled into the net
by Takaloo but referee claims that he handled it. Strouts
booked for off the ball scuffle.
Half-Time substitution and Austin comes on for the
injured Sam Tydeman who spent the latter part of the
1st half limping.
45mins: Stones finish the half 1-0 up although Hastings
have had more chances than the Stones front two. But
it's a Takaloo penalty which separates the two sides.
39 mins: Corner on the left for Hastings played out
to Eldridge who's low drive goes way past the upright.
35 mins: GOAL! TAKALOO (Penalty) Handball
in the area. Takaloo misses 1st attempt but referee
orders retake and Takaloo makes no mistake putting it
low and left.
31mins: Miller is replaced by Jason Barton, who moves
into midfield and Jimmy Strouts moves back into defence.
26mins: A high ball into the Stones area falls to the
head of Olorunda but he just fails to lob Czanner in
the Stones goal.
24mins: Best chance of the half falls to Hastings No.9
Olorunda after an intercepted cross field pass falls
at his feet and clear on goal, he fires wide.
16 mins: Throw fom the right for Hastings, flicked
just wide of the near post by Bradley.
13 mins: Stones force a corner on the left, cleared
by Hastings but ball returned to Lacy who's cross falls
to McNish who heads wide of the far post.
6mins: Both sides cancelling out each other in midfield
with only one off target shot for each side.
Injuries to both Sinclair and Ahwan mean Stones have
to reshuffle, with surprise return of Nathan Paul, and
Neil Miller brought in as replacements.
