Stones welcome local company Icom as their new main
sponsor

Maidstone United Football Club have formally signed
a lucrative new sponsorship deal with Icom a
local company which supplies, maintains and supports
business telecommunications, network services and cabling.
The deal, the largest since the club reformed in 1992,
is for a three-year period. The sponsorship is for an
undisclosed amount, but both parties can confirm that
the sums involved are substantial.
Maidstone United chairman Paul Bowden-Brown said:
I am delighted to welcome Icom as our main
sponsor. It is such an important time for the club
and to have the backing of such an ambitious and enthusiastic
company is great news.
Securing a deal such as this proves how far
we have come in the past few years and the potential
we have for the future. Everyone at Maidstone United
is looking forward to working in partnership with
Icom, so that they reap the rewards that football
sponsorship offers.
Icom managing director John Donoghue said:
Following continued success, we are delighted
to now be in the financial position to support a club
with such a high profile in Kent. As well as looking
to raise Icoms profile through the sponsorship
deal, our main reason for this substantial investment
is because we believe Maidstone United to be an important
and worthwhile cause.
We believe the success of the Stones is as
important to Maidstone as it is to Icom. As the profile
of the team grows, so will that of the town. These
are both positive factors to Icom as we look to raise
our profile and grow substantially during our present
three year sponsorship period.

Company Background
Icom, formed in 1990 by John Donoghue, has for almost
two decades been providing highly efficient business
communications solutions to businesses of all sizes
and in all sectors across the UK. Customers currently
include NHS, national utility companies as well as blue-chip
household and high street names including Apple Computers,
Kent County Council, TK Maxx, NHS, Jewsons and South
East Water.
The company's Aylesford offices are their fifth location
within the Maidstone area and by far the largest and
most prestigious. The company currently employ 35 staff
all of who reside in Kent, the majority of who live
in or around Maidstone. We anticipate this figure to
exceed 50 within the next two to three years.
The company's objective is to remain both profitable
and financially stable while continuing to expand. Within
its current financial year it will achieve annual sales
in excess of £5m, £1.5m of this stemming
from ongoing contractual sources. As well as developing
existing products and services, it is expected that
to achieve continued growth targeted at annual sales
in excess of £10m in period 2011-12, we will diversify
into other closely related areas, although we will remain
trading primarily within the UK.
Icom is now stronger than ever, both financially and
in its trading position. The company structure is well
defined, enabling strong sales growth along with improvements
to both the delivery of services and company management.
Icom has evolved into a multi-disciplinary group of
companies with Icom Holding Ltd at the centre providing
group management and sales; each company able to focus
on delivery, support and development of its own products
