Prior to our game with AFC Wimbledon, Jay Saunders
was presented with his September player of the month
prize as voted for by supporters on the Official Site
poll.
Jay took 23% of the 175 votes cast with Andy Walker
runner up with 16%.
Meanwhile Swindon Supermarine have contacted the club
with regards to arrangements for next weeks FA Trophy
tie. The club have secured the use of our Supermarine
Bowls Club bar in addition to their own bar for Saturday.
The bowls club is right next door to our ground alongside
the matchday car park and is less than a minute walk
for fans for kick off. The club will have stewards directing
your fans on their arrival.

Saturday's draw with AFC Hornchurch took its
toll on the squad and The Stones will now be without
Ben Lewis and Ian Cox for Tuesday nights replay.
Ian Cox picked up a calf strain at the weekend which
means he will have to sit out Tuesday's replay whilst
Ben Lewis will also sit out the match with back problems.
Roland Edge is also 50/50 for the game, so it's likely
that there will be another chance for the fringe players
to come in.
Keelan Mooney succesfully completed 90 minutes at the
weekend for the reserves, so looks set to be in the
squad together with James Peacock. Meanwhile new signing
Neil Smith looks set to fill in at centre-half in the
absence of Ian Cox.
Speaking about the situation Alan Walker commented,
"I think the pitch is begining to take it's toll
on some of the players because the lack of rain has
left the pitch very hard. Usually at this time of the
season, players have already switch to studs, but many
of the players are still playing with rubber studs and
for those prone to injury, a hard pitch doesn't help.
However despite the injuries, we still feel we have
a good chance on Tuesday and it will also be an opportunity
for some of the fringe players to stake a claim for
Saturday's match."

Stones have picked up some key injuries ahead
of the FA Trophy meeting with AFC Hornchurch on Saturday
which means a much changed side for the game. As a response
the the mounting injuries, Walker and Hume have called
in a favour with ex-Welling midfielder Neil Smith coming
into the squad.
Smith who was player/coach atWelling last season has
been training with Grays this season and was available
at short notice to join the Stones. He will come straight
into the side to replace the injured Ian Selley, as
both Mooney and Peacock have injury problems which prevent
them filling in.
Peacock is still struggling with a thigh problem, but
may be able to make an appearance on the bench depending
on his fitness on Saturday, whilst Mooney hasn't played
for a while and will be drafted into the Reserves at
the weekend to build up his match fitness.
The other injury to hit the squad is Meshach Nugent
who will miss Saturday's game meaning that Andy Martin
and Lloyd Blackman are likely to start up front.
