It
is with great sadness that we have learned of the death
of lifelong supporter David Ridgley, better known
as 'Elvis'. Everyone at the club are united in sending
their prayers and condolences to Elvis' wife Brenda,
his family and friends.
Stones chairman Paul Bowden-Brown said: "From
the day I took over the club, Elvis was one of those
supporters who was there with me, determined to bring
the good times back to Maidstone United. His association
with the Stones goes way back and he was an endearing
part of the club.
"I remember when we had our club offices in Bearsted,
Elvis would pop-in from time-to-time to reminisce about
the good old days and had many fond memories.
"It is very sad to lose such a loyal supporter
and a good friend. I'm truly saddened that Elvis didn't
get to see the Stones come home
"My thoughts, and those of everyone at the club,
are with Brenda and his family and friends at this difficult
time."
Information on the funeral service will be announced
in the near future.
