Walks Talks

Alan Walker 17 April 2009

We now have just three games remaining this season. Until recently we were in contention for a play off place following some good results but the defeats against Hendon and Dover have put an end to such ambitions.

We were very disappointed with our last two performances but hope that we can gain maximum points from our final fixtures and enjoy a strong end to the season.

Thankfully we are at the right end of the table and there will not be a repeat of our final day escape of last season. I am particularly grateful we have been safe for a number of weeks now as for the next few games we will be severely depleted and as a result will have to field a number of players who are not regular members of the first team squad.

Unfortunately, Ebbsfleet have recalled Peter Hawkins but Ian Cox will be available for the next two games. After tomorrow’s game though we will be without James Peacock who has a seven day ban and then Jay Saunders and Roland Edge will sit out the game against Billericay as they have picked up ten bookings each this season and will have to serve a two game suspension.
