Aaron is now in his 6th season with Maidstone United. The owner of a prodigious long throw, he turns any throw-in 40 yards from goal into the equivalent of a free kick or corner. Amongst the current squad Aaron has more appearances for The Stones than any other player.

Ian joined The Stones upon his release from Gillingham at the end of last season where he was club captain. He made 145 appearances for The Gills. His career started at Carshalton Athletic before entering the full time game with Crystal Palace. Following a move to Bournemouth he signed for Burnley for £500,000 before moving to Priestfield. Ian has 16 full international caps for Trinidad & Tobago and was a member of the Soca Warriors squad that played at the 2006 World Cup Finals in Germany.

Andy signed for The Stones during the summer break following four very successful seasons at Bromley, in which time he was part of a promotion and county cup winning set up. He gained Football League experience at Colchester United and Exeter City prior to joining Doncaster Rovers.

Jay is another new Stones signing for this season having joined from league rivals Margate. He is a tough tackling and industrious midfielder who began his career at Gillingham before moving to Gravesend & Norhtfleet for the first of two spells at Stonebridge Road. He then made 250 appearances for Margate prior to joining Lewes before having a second spell at Hartsdown Park for just over a year.

Keelan has progressed through the ranks of the club’s youth section under the tutelage of Peter Nott and Tony Cornwell since coming to Maidstone from Gravesend a couple of years ago. He can strike the ball very cleanly and has impressed the club’s management enough during pre-season to be asked to step up to the first team squad this year.

James scored 27 goals for Margate last season and is therefore very much a transfer coup for The Stones. He made 8 Football League appearances for Gillingham before moving into the non league game. He peviously played for us a youth player prior to starting his professional career.

Nathan joined The Stones from Beckenham Town at the same time as Mario McNish. He overcame a career threatening arm injury at the start of season 2006/7 and amazingly was ever present in our league and cup games. Such consistency and high quality in his performances saw Nathan voted as Supporters’ Player of the year for 2006/7 and 2007/8. He is one of the fastest players at the club and is blessed with great upper body strength.

Ben joined The Stones from Conference South side Welling United where he was in his second spell with The Wings. He has played for several clubs at Conference level and above including stints in the Football League at Southend and Colchester. Ben has forged a reputation as a physical, no nonsense defender.

Andy re-joined The Stones at the beginning of this season after playing 25 games for us last term before he moved to Leatherhead. He made 34 Championship appearances for Crystal Palace before having brief spells with Torquay and Hereford prior moving into the non-league game. Andy represented Wales at U-21 level whilst with The Eagles.

OCCUPATION: PE Teacher
Roland joined Gillingham as a 16 year old and went on to play 126 times for the Football League club before transferring to Hibernian in the Scottish Premier League where he played on 24 occasions. Hull City was his next port of call playing 25 games before moving back to Kent and eventually signing for Folkestone, where he was club captain. He signed for Maidstone during the close season.

Shack joined Maidstone on the eve of this season from Dulwich Hamlet. Renowned as a tough and hard working goal scorer, he was voted as Hamlet’s Supporters’ Player of the Year last season and previously won the Kent League Golden Boot award whilst at Greenwich Borough.

PK is another product of The Stones’ youth and reserve team set up. He is a cultured midfield player who plays the ball short, simple and on the ground. He made his first team debut in season 2006/7 vs Welling United in the Kent Senior Cup.

Kevin joined the club at the start of this season from Folkestone. He was part of the successful Team Bath side that gained promotion from the Western League through to the Southern League a few years back before moving back to the South East for spells at Chelmsford and Welling.

This Dartford born stopper who is well known to Stones fans from his many appearances against the club for both Thamesmead Town and Cray Wanderers signed in December 2007 to increase the competition for the Stones’ number one shirt. He proved to provide solid competition for a staring place last season and did not disappoint in his dozen appearances.

Ian joined up with Maidstone United in early March 2008 as a spell of suspension and poor league form hit the club, making his debut away to AFC Hornchurch. He made his name in the professional game with Arsenal and was part of the side that victoriously lifted the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1994 with a 1-0 success over Italian club Parma. After 42 games with The Gunners he moved to Craven Cottage but two serious injuries curtailed his spell with them before he moved to Wimbledon and then Southend United.

Lloyd is a hard working front man who joined the club at the beginning of this season after successfully trialling during pre-season. He joins the club from Folkestone Invicta after having played in the side that was relegated by The Stones in the final game of last season.

John completed a successful trial period with The Stones during this year’s pre-season period haveing played at Tonbridge last season. He played under Alan Walker at Bromley and comes to the club with the reputation of being a strong running, hard tackling midfielder or central defender.

Lloyd won his first silverware with Maidstone when he guided The Stones to the Kent League title in 2005/6 and with that, promotion to the Ryman League. His partnership with Alan Walker has now produced titles at three different clubs. Lloyd has had a long career as a no nonsense central defender, although the appearances are becoming rarer these days. Interestingly, Lloyd began his football career at Gillingham as a trainee and was bootboy to one Alan Walker!

Alan linked up with The Stones for the second time in his career in January 2004, after his short spell at the helm at Ryman League Bromley. Alan is massively experienced in the game, as a look at his previous clubs shows. He has played and managed the length and breadth of the country. He is a UEFA qualified coach who is employed by the KCFA. Our 2006/7 season championship success was the 3rd he has achieved in partnership with Lloyd Hume.
