Helping raise funds for the Stones new stadium

DAY 3 OF THE 'WALK TO DOVER'

In case you didn't know this weekend we have 3 groups of fans heading out from Whatman Way the new home of Maidstone Utd, on a sponsored walk to Saturday's game at Dover. Geoff Hunt and James Ingarfield set off Thursday morning and plan to do the walk over two days stopping overnight at Ashford then Folkestone. Then we have Chris Smoker, Paul Hawkins and Butch (Richard Nott) setting out Friday morning as they attempt the same route with just one stop off. Then finally at 6pm on Friday, the "Oakwood Stones" set off walking through the night to reach the game at 3pm the next day! So all the best to everyone and well be providing updates and photos from all our walkers as they progress. But don't forget this is all for the Stones new ground and it's not too late to sponsor them. Either donate online or they will be collecting money when they arrive. So far we've collected over £100 online and altogether the walk looks set to reach £2000, what a fantastic effort!
